Plenty of couples meet through friends, but Jamie Lee Curtis and Christopher Guest kicked things off with a very Hollywood kind of moment. Jamie Lee rocketed to fame with “Halloween” in 1978 and went on to become one of America’s most game-for-anything actresses. Christopher, meanwhile, carved out his legend as a comedy braintrust with projects like “This Is Spinal Tap” and “Best in Show.”

The spark started when she saw his photo in a Rolling Stone spread in 1984 and casually announced to a friend that she was going to marry him. Not long after, they actually met, and yep, they tied the knot in 1984. They later adopted two daughters, and Jamie Lee has joked that Christopher’s steady calm is the perfect counterweight to her high-voltage energy, which may be the not-so-secret ingredient to their long run.
